Snow Leopard Kingdom

Here is part of the story that goes with this picture and will feature in my second book

STORY,(well part of the main story)...The three friends, although tiring continued up the mountain; the purple mountain; the mountain they had only heard about, but now they were on it and the adventures were about to begin, the excitement within the three of them gave them the strength to keep going.
They had been told that their was a Snow Leopard Kingdom at the very summit, and that the beautiful majestic leopards were protected by the Purple Elvins and their princess.

Although they had been told all there was to be told about that place, nothing could have prepared them for what they saw before them as they reached the summit of the mountain, all three were mesmerised; and in that moment the king of all snow leopards and his protector turned around to see their visitors, but what was going to happen next, and would the visitors be welcome? ...

I have been working on this picture for a couple of weeks or more, and I do hope you like it.

I used my wacom intuos3 tablet and pen, and Photoshop CS4. The elfin was all my own work no references used, so she began as a sketch and this is how she finished up. The rest is imagination but was of course inspired a little by the floating islands in the Avatar film. lol
